How do I use FluentEditor?+
Select any text on any website, then click the ✨ Improve button in the floating toolbar that appears. You can also press Ctrl+Shift+E (Cmd+Shift+E on Mac) to improve the selected text instantly.
Why doesn't the toolbar appear when I select text?+
The toolbar appears on most editable text fields and static text. Make sure the extension is enabled (check the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome toolbar). On some websites with complex editors (like Google Docs), the extension uses a right-click menu instead — right-click selected text and look for "FluentEditor".
How many improvements do I get per month?+
Free accounts get 200 improvements per month. Pro accounts get 500. Quota resets on the 1st of every month. You can also earn bonus quota by referring friends — each accepted referral gives you and your friend +50 improvements.
Does FluentEditor store my text?+
No. Text you send to FluentEditor is used only to generate your requested improvement and is not stored permanently. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What platforms does FluentEditor work on?+
FluentEditor works on 40+ platforms including Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn, GitHub, Slack, Discord, Twitter/X, Notion, Google Docs, and any other website where you can type or select text.
How do I cancel or change my plan?+
Go to the Billing page in your dashboard and click "Manage billing". This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can cancel, change your plan, or update your payment method.
How do I invite my team?+
Go to the Team page in your dashboard. Create a team, then click "+ Invite member" to generate an invite link. Your teammates click the link to join. Team Pro upgrades are available for up to 25 seats.
How do I earn XP and badges?+
You earn XP for every improvement you make, accept, or copy. Maintaining a daily writing streak earns bonus XP. Badges unlock automatically when you hit milestones — check the Dashboard to see your progress.
Can I use FluentEditor in Microsoft Edge?+
Yes! FluentEditor is available for Edge from the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. Search for "FluentEditor" or use the same install link from our website.
My quota is reset but I still see "quota exceeded". What should I do?+
Quotas reset at midnight UTC on the 1st of each month. If you still see the error after the reset date, try logging out and logging back in to refresh your session. If the issue persists, contact support.
