Lesson 44 of 46
Natural workplace phrases
Replace phrases that global readers may find unclear.
The rules
- 1.Some phrases common in certain regions can confuse or sound odd to international readers. They are not "stupid" — they are just less clear globally.
- 2."Revert back" → "reply" or "get back to you". (In global English, "revert" means to return to an earlier state.)
- 3."Do the needful" → say exactly what you need: "Please approve the request by Friday."
- 4."Prepone" → "move earlier". "Out of station" → "out of town" or "out of office".
